İzmir is nice city the people are relax and the transport system is easy to learn and easy to go any place inside the city.There is metro,bus,train and ferry. You need a card called kentcard with this card if you put something like 10-15 TL inside it you can finish all the city with that money in 1-2 days.The each transport costs 2.25 TL and once you use your card the next 90 minutes you can use it for free. This means that next 90 minutes if you first use a bus than you can use a metro and than if you still time you can use the ferry.Each perieod must be 5 minutes after.Like the bus after 5 minutes later get of the bus and get on the metro or another bus.There are some buses goes for more far distances example : Foca,ozdere or torbali. These ones cost a little bit more something like extra 3 TL more but they are still cheap .

İf you are going to stay more than 2 days you can also go to inciraltı it is a big park near the seaside and you can go to eskifoca it is sweet town near the seaside.some people can say you dont go kadifekale but if you are not alone girl than there is no problem to go kadifekale even for lonely girl still kadifekale is safe and touristical place you can see all the city from the top.
Kadifekale : to go here you must come to konak and there is a bus station in konak near karamursel shopping center.if you ask people the bus station they will show you and there is bus called 33 – kadifekale konak you can get on this bus and reach to the castle.There is police office center that you have to get off there and than you need to walk some until to the castle.You climg top of the walls and take some good pictures there.
Asansör : Asansör is called lift in english your walk from konak to asansor in 15 – 20 minutes so it is not very far no need to use a bus or taxi.When you reach asansor you will see a beutiful street there you can read some information about the street and who lived there.When you reach the top of asansor you take some good pictures and maybe sit and eat or drink something there.The prices are mostly good not very expansive but not cheap for travellers.
Konak : Konak is the city center.it is mostly the cheapest place of the city.You an find lots of cloth or food shops.if you go inside the kemeralti it is kind of big open bazaar that you can find anything you want.Also it can be good the took some pictures infront of the clock tower.
Karsiyaka : to reach karisyaka you can take the ferry and cross the see and reach to the other side of the city.Karsıyaka is some places similiar like alsancak but still the style is different if you have time you can go walk around and look to shops or just walk by near the seaside.
Bornova : To reach bornova the fastest way is using the metro system.From konak it takes 20 minutes and you can get off at Bornova station. Bornova is place of lots of students. Most big univercities are in Bornova so you can see lots of students all around and lots of cafe’s, restaurants, bars or pubs.
Alsancak : to reach alsancak you can take bus from konak or you can walk by the seaside that it is better and more enjoyable.Alsancak is the Fancy part of the city. The all luxury life with high prices are in alsancak also there are lots of Bars,cafe’s,Restaurants,Pubs and night life. So if you want to dance of drink some thing have some fun you must go alsancak but i must say the prices can a bit expansive not a good area for hitchhikers
